Mona's Favorite Thing: 4x4 Christmas Tree Art Tile / Various Colors

Mona started collecting Motawi tiles will before she started working at Leon & Lulu.  The first one she ever bought was the 4" Pine Landscape.  She was deep into the Arts & Crafts movement at the time, and Motawi fits well into that turn of the century design style.  It's one of their original tiles, first introduced in the 1990's and it's still in production. See the full collection of Motawi tiles HERE. 

Mona is our longest loved employee.  She's been here since the beginning and has so many iconic stories to share.  Events so iconic, she thinks of them in all caps: 

THE LOST CHAIR (don't get her started, but we will tell you that a custom ordered chair somehow went missing out of our backroom), THE SKUNK CABINET, The innocent bird that became THE BLACK WIDOW, THE POOP EMOJI, and especially THE LIZARD CLOCK.  A customer took home this clock still in its box and when she opened it a live lizard escaped.  Her husband stomped on it, then took a picture of the now dead lizard with bits of eggshell still clinging to it's flattened corpse.  That picture still exists in the archive of our photo library and the clock (which was later returned) still hangs on our wall.
