6x6 Beverly Basket Art Tile in Green

Once part of a series of 1930s Los Angeles storefront murals at 4493 Beverly Boulevard, this design repeated across the building’s façade—an everyday moment of Jazz Moderne woven into the street. Though the murals are gone, their rhythm endures. Motawi gathered that geometry into a single tile, hand-glazed in the Cuenca tradition. It’s not just a reproduction—it’s a fragment of a lost city, brought back into daily view.
